Mont Ste. Odile Travel Poster by Lucien Blumer
Mont Ste. Odile Travel Poster (c. 1930). Vintage French Poster (29.5" X 41") Lucien Blumer Artwork.
Lucien Charles Blumer (1871-1947) was an Alsatian artist who was part of the Cercle de Saint-Léonard, which included his teacher, Lothar von Seebach. With his fellow artist Charles Spindler, he helped start the Alsatian Museum in Strasbourg. Blumer did many travel posters during his life, most of which captured the beauty of Alsace-Lorraine. This poster has paper lifts on the borders, as well as surface scuffs and a tiny tear in the image area. These issues have been addressed by professional restoration. Very Fine+ on Linen.
